I always keep a list of gift card numbers and PINs used on a cruise until it's over, in the unlikely case of a refund/cancellation scenario. You can add the value of a gift card anytime during the cruise, not only when OBC is used up. Probably trying to save themselves some hassle of refunding any balance to the gift card. A gift card from Carnival Cruise Lines can only be used on Carnival Cruise Line purchases. A couple of years ago, I took enough quizzes to buy enough Carnival cards, at a 10% discount, to entirely pay for a 14-night Carnival cruise for 2 people in a full suite. I'm going to assume that you had an enjoyable cruise other than the experience with the gift card.

I think I started into looking at it or registering, but don't recall spending much time on it. I might try it again sometime as 15% is pretty generous. As long as you are willing to spend time on quizzes to spend less money for the cards. Before you buy the cruise cards, you’ll definitely want to read through all the fine print that’s provided on the AARP website about their use.

My Experience With Princess Gift Card
So a $2,000 cruise becomes $1,800 just with buying the cards through AARP. If you are headed on an expensive cruise, it may be that you have to purchase over multiple months to get all the gift cards you need. However, when we tried to register for a free AARP account, we repeatedly reached an error page. When we went ahead and joined as paying members (the charge is just $12 a year), we were able to sign-up with no issue. Once signed up, we were able to access all the gift cards available.
Thanks for any information, as I have a lot of gift cards to use but don't want to apply too many. All gift cards are in U.S. dollars and not accepted on ships using a different onboard currency. You can transfer the gift card to another user since there are no names on the cards.

To apply a Princess Cruises Gift Card to your folio, you must present your Gift Card to the Passenger Services Desk onboard your cruise. During the busy holiday period, please note that orders using standard shipping methods may be delayed by an additional 3-5 business days. Orders using expedited shipping may be delayed up to an additional 2 business days. I guess the software just can't handle all those numbers and a PIN for those gift cards. Fpsphil is correct but Guest Services gets slammed during the last days on the cruise. Agree - I think the best use of them is to pay the balance owing on the cruise. I would say that their software is editing for US-only area codes. Might be cell carrier too, but easiest just to check area code. Totally agree that it is a bummer since our countries are so inter-twined. If I want them bad enough, I am lucky to have a brother living in USA, so I could get him to buy them and reimburse him.
